Their menu leans heavily into breakfast staples, with highlights like fluffy waffles, vibrant avocado toast, and their signature banana pudding—though some patrons have mentioned the pudding could be served a bit cooler to enhance its appeal. The cafe's atmosphere is casual and unpretentious. While some visitors have noted that the space can feel a little cluttered and occasionally impacted by outside elements, such as passersby in the alley, these factors do little to detract from the overall friendly vibe fostered by the staff. Bagner and Alexa’s stands out as a solid option for all-day breakfast, catering especially well to downtown workers, early risers, and those craving a dependable diner meal without the crowds or wait times common at trendier venues. Replaced Courtside Cafe. Same great location, good food, helpful staff. Just wish the banana pudding was a little cooler temperature wise. Omelettes for my wife and I were delicious.

They do all day breakfast which is great if you're not an early riser! Prices were great for the portions we got. Food was ready quickly, tasted good, and was what you'd expect from a diner. Nothing blew my mind but it was all good and hit the spot! I think it will be a dependable option for breakfast or lunch for locals downtown without dealing with long waits like at some of the new "trendy" spots That get so oversaturated during busy times. Staff was friendly as well. I'll definitely be going back.

Excellent diner food! Good food and good people. You can tell, even though this place is downtown and likely relies on the business folks during the week and their foot traffic it was busy with locals even on the weekend.

I have gotten breakfast from Bagner and Alexa’s several times and each time it is good! A few tips they cannot cook scrambled eggs, the pancake batter has an after taste I do not like. I request soft scrambled and they overcook them each time. The pancake batter please change it for something else. Overall the other breakfast items are good! Sometimes there are homeless people standing around the alley way area and it can throw off the atmosphere but I will say they don’t bother you.

Ive lived here for 10 months and had to try this place. We ate breakfast and had coffee. Eggs, bacon and coffee were great. Atmosphere was a little messy but not bad. I'd go back.

This is a good place to eat downtown Winston-Salem. As a suggestion when an order is placed, make sure to clarify with the customer. The quesadillas were great, I would have preferred no green peppers, please give 2 sour creams, lettuce/tomatoes, salsa, & chips. Presentation is everything. In the box should be Quesadillas in the large section, salsa in the top right comparment, chips in the top left compartment, lite shredded lettuce on top of the Quesadillas. If the order is to go, please give two sour cream packets. The worst thing is to not have enough sour cream for your Quesadillas. The service was exceptional. I would come back.
